Rogue Level Guide
Power Leveling & Grinding Guide for Rogue Class
Rouge power
leveling and grinding is pretty basic. This guide will help you
stay on track, and tell you what to avoid and how to maximize
fighting power for a better World of Warcraft Rogue grinding
experience.
As a Rogue,
there are a few things you should always remember when
grinding. If you are unfamiliar with the term “grinding” here
is a definition to better help you understand: Grinding is when
a character stays in the same area to gain experience points by
repetitively killing the same types of monsters for long periods
of time or to obtain gold by killing mobs. When grinding, be
sure to always bring food and bandages. If you want to level up
fast, avoid getting into discussions in the chat room – it may
not seem like it is taking up much time, but those lost minutes
add up overtime.

If grinding
through an area non-stop is not your idea of fun, mix in some
questing to lighten things up. Constantly going back to
Orgrimmar (also known as Horde City, the capitol city of the Orc
race) to see if an item in your Auction House has sold could
cause you to lose a lot of precious time when traveling.
Instead of going back to Orgrimmar, place a level one char in
the main city with the sole duty of watching the Auction House
and buying items for you. Mail some gold to your char and he
will bring your purchased items to you.
When you log
off, it is important to remember to place your character at the
nearest inn to gain rest. When you log back on, continue
grinding. Alterac Valley has been known to have some really
good grinding spots, however, going to this battleground will
cause your character to help the opposing faction win. You do
not want to aid in the defeat of your own team members, racial
clan or ideological allies. I would recommend avoiding this
area all together unless you enjoy aiding the enemy.
As far as
weapons go, swords are considered to be the best for grinding.
If you gain aggro from the sword you cannot backstab a mob.
Instead you would have to stun the sword every time you initiate
a new backstab. “Aggro” is when the monsters are angry and have
been activated to attack you and are in motion toward you for
purposes of attack. Two priority statistics you want to have on
your sword when grinding are agility and attack power. Stamina
statistics are a close third. Where other weapons are
concerned, try each one out. It is a good idea to have a decent
amount of talent points racked up. Talent points are points
that can be used when a weapon is being used to attack an
enemy. Using your talent points will cause whatever it is you
are trying to kill to die much faster. These points are
incredibly helpful when grinding.
When grinding
as a Rogue, it is important to remember how useful a sword can
be for both grinding and backstabbing a mob. Try to avoid the
Alterac Valley if you can, or else your character will be forced
to aid the opposing team, causing you to kill your own kind.
Above all, stay on track while grinding by not participating in
chat discussions or constantly visiting the Auction House.
