something rare or unique crafted, but it usually ends up costing
them too much to produce on their own. These people end up turning
to the Enchants and paying them to craft whatever it is they want
crafted. Even though Enchants create commissioned crafts, they are
better known for enchanting items. The demand for enchanted items
is much greater. Enchanted items cannot be sold at the Auction
House, so customers will have to find an Enchant and have them
personally enchant the item they wish to have enchanted. The
downfall for being an Enchant is that there are very limited
patterns, which could hold you back. Other than that, the supply
and demand (the supply being low and demand high) will help keep you
rolling in the gold.
The Jewel Crafting profession enables your character to increase
your gold count, especially once you have received a
specialization. Keep leveling your profession till you are able to
receive a specialization. Because there is such an ongoing demand
for gems, Jewel Crafting is a very profitable profession. You can
make a lot of money as a Jewel Crafter if you have access to the
high end patterns, much like Enchants. Also, ensure that you have
all of the plans, recipes and patterns needed to allow you to make
specialty items that will easily be sold in the Auction House. You
also need to stay active in the Auction House, and make a point to
browse through on a regular basis to see what is selling and what is
not. If your character is out and about all the time, you will not
make much profit. You will constantly have to trade in the cities,
monitor the Auction House and cut gems. In other words, you have to
treat your World of Warcraft Jewel Crafting profession like your own
virtual business in order to be successful.
Demand is high for all of these jobs. Whether you choose to be an
Herbalist, Enchant, Jewel Crafter or other professional is
completely up to you. Understand that as a non-farming Herbalist
you can roam around, picking up and collecting herbs wherever you
go. You can also roam as an Enchant, but to be a successful Jewel
Crafter you must stay in one location to work on your business.
