World of Warcraft Quests
As the foundation of the World of Warcraft (WoW), there are quests
available for every race. Quests are an excellent way to build up
experience points. WoW quests can be simple or complex and are a
source of both risk and reward for the characters. Many quests can
be completed by a single player in a single play session while other
quests require multiple characters working together over a series of
play sessions.

Players can take on quests easily, and they are not limited to
quests that are designed for their race. Players can go on quests
that are designed for other WoW races, and many do so when they
believe that they will gain more gold and experience points than on
other available quests. Gold and experience points are built up
during the quest and bonuses are awarded when the players report the
successful completion of the quest to a non-player character.
Things such as spells, skills and buffs can also be earned through
quests.
The easiest way to take on a quest is to find a non-player character
with an exclamation point over its head. This exclamation point
means that the character has a quest available. Once you have
accepted the quest from this character, the exclamation point will
turn into a question mark, meaning that you have unfinished business
with that non-player character. Upon completion of the quest, you
must return to the non-player character who assigned it to you in
order to report your success. If the exclamation point about the
character's head is yellow, that means it has a quest available that
you can take at your current level. If the exclamation point is
silver, that means that the character has an available quest, but
you can not take it until you increase your character's level.
Once a quest has been accepted, it appears in the player's Warcraft
quest log. The quest log displays all of the player's current
quests along with difficulty levels and quest details. The details
included are which non-player character assigned the quest, the
quest requirements and the rewards for completing the quest. Quests
in the log do not have to be completed; they can be abandoned for a
while and picked up again later. Different WoW regions have
different quests, and are divided as such in the log to help players
see which quests they should be working on depending on their
current location.
Accepting and completing quests is one of the ways to advance a WoW
character and earn rewards such as gold. Non-player characters
assign the quests to players, who have the option of choosing the
rewards they toward which they want to work. The quests vary in
type and theme depending on the region where they are found. Quests
are an excellent way for players to become familiar with the regions
in the Warcraft universe. There are single-step and multi-step
quests available; players can decide which they want depending on
the amount of time they have available to play.
